shy but interested

Event/crafty party designers Shy But Interested (Kara Schmidt and Meggs Benadic) came by the studio to show us some of their new work and take some product shots. These guys are great artist and designers, and their backgrounds in these fields to their decoration work. This makes for something that has the cuteness of crafty things while not being just that. Check up on them for all your various party needs!

GasWorks Studio

We started GasWorks last winter with the serious renovation of our studio space in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Before us it was a prop house and was literally filled with old props, junk, tilting shelves and dirt. But seeing the potential we had to take it and give it a serious makeover. It took us about a month and around 30 gallons of paint (seriously 30 gallons, 25 of which were white), and unquantifiable elbow grease. But now it’s all pretty!
